The People’s Forest
Culture Days, Museum London — 2018
As part of Culture Days at Museum London, I conceived and produced a participatory public engagement project celebrating the diverse communities that shape the city.
Community groups—including newcomers, LGBTQ2+ organizations, and other local collectives—were invited to customize individual trees, contributing to a vibrant and evolving installation that reimagined London as a collective “Forest City.”
During the event, visitors participated in hands-on activities connected to each tree, creating leaves and personal additions that transformed the installation in real time. The project centered community voice, visibility, and creative expression, resulting in a collaborative artwork that grew organically over the course of the day.
