Forest City Film Festival
I was Managing Director for the Forest City Film Festival from 2022-2025. Named one of Canada’s top mid-sized festivals, this Canadian Screen Awards qualifying event engages over 8,000 audience members across 50+ programs each year.
During my tenure as Managing Director, the festival grew its tourist audience from 2% of total attendees to 30%. Its budget nearly doubled, and we increased support to artists and creatives. I played a role in the founding of the festival’s landmark Lifetime Achievement in Entertainment Award event, leading to appearances from Hollywood stars like Victor Garber. I also helped grow its Indigenous Program, deliver bursaries to diverse creators, and curated its Experimental Program.
I led event management and box office operations for major venues, with attendance ranging from 90 to over 350 attendees. The festival features a diverse array of event types from screenings to special talks, premier parties, a gala, cultural festivals, and creative workshops.
